I just got out and i’m very glad i went there. I was in the adult detox and they do withdrawal checks three times a day and smoke break is every two hours. The staff was amazing, they were all friendly and supportive of our recovery. I would definitely recommend to anyone in need.

As someone who has been at the Ridge, in and out for years, here's my review of the place. I actually just got out Thursday, 4*26*18. The admissions process takes about 8 hours. I'm sure it's shorter than that sometimes, but its been my experience that getting in takes a while. The food is okay, the beds are not made for big people. There's not a lot to do between groups other than color, read, converse with others, or watch TV. This is the only facility left that allows people to smoke. There are smoke breaks every 2 hours on average. I've never experienced hateful staff. Some are more friendly than others, but none are horrible. The doctor on the adult psych. unit is the best doctor I've ever seen for a psychiatrist. And I've seen a few...... The other doctors in the place....meh. The place has rules, some of them make sense.....some don't. The groups can be helpful. I've had some personality clashes with one group leader, while I love the leader that heads up the rest of the day groups. Some groups are helpful, some not so much..... the interaction in them is good Bottom line.... I've been to a few different psych hospitals and Ridge has been the best of them all. It's the only place I'll go mainly due to the doctor and the fact that I can smoke there.

Very professional help. The nurses, psychologists and doctors are in a very stressful job and gave me the best care.

Severely understaffed sometimes at the expense of those who come there. I was put on the psych until when I was detoxing. I over heard staff discussing it and saying the administration didn't want to have to add staff on the other ward. The staff I did have were friendly and helpful but I wasn't getting the treatment my insurance was covering.

Ok so I was in the adolescent unit and the staff watching after me during the day were really nice and helpful and I felt supported and validated. However the actual doctors did not seem to care very much (however the nurses did). I was treated with little respect by one in particular and treated like I was there for attention and he was very condescending. This doctor specifically should not have been on the adolescent unit and it was a mistake letting him on becuase he only made my stay that much worse. I learned many coping skills but my anxiety and depression worsened whilst being there. If you are looking for a place to calm down I would not suggest it. But if youre looking for a place to learn coping skills I would recommend it for teens. The food was decent. In this place you have to do a lot of self help which is not what some people need and other care facilities can help more. Over all I still have high anxiety and depression but I learned several very good coping skills and the the constant staff members were wonderful and caring along with the nurses, but the doctors ruined it for me.

Recently I had a 7 day stay for detox the staff was very nice and helpful they always treated me with the utmost respect .the food was amazing and there was plenty of it in my unit and in the dinning room if you get hungry there its because your to lazy to get up and get it . I left with all the knowledge ,resources and tools i need to stay clean and sober. If you need to get straight the ridge is a great place to do it . To all the staff Thanks for helping me i will never forget you.
